The oven and the pork

You were supposed to work in the kitchen, preparing food. 
However, the deepest of your desires is to sit in the bright dinning room, 
doing finger push-ups on the white linen. 

As you were standing stupefied, gazing at the boiling baby-carrots,
you made a plan to act like the pork and secretly reach the table. 

Well,  your act is in vain, as your place in the dinning room 
will not be on a chair, but on the platter.
